Free samples

Three pamphlets you can read here. They are free. They do not ask for your email.

A pamphlet on this shelf is the sample itself. There is no file to download, and there is no form to join. A longer guide may be written later, in the same spirit as each pamphlet. Those guides would live in the shop. The shop door is closed. Nothing here is for sale today.

The three pamphlets

  • Getting your life back

Morning agency in a quiet house

A quiet morning, and three small acts that are still yours: the keys, the kettle, and a kindness that does not pretend someone has arrived. Not a cure for loneliness, and not a promise of company.

  • Meditation

A gentle sitting when thoughts race

A short practice for a mind that will not settle: as long as a kettle takes, a kindly count of the breath, an ordinary chair. Not a cure, and not a sleep clinic. Stop if stillness feels worse.

  • Depression, beside care

Talking with yourself kindly when low

Education for the voice you use when the room is empty. An adjunct to care, not therapy. Never a reason to stop a prescribed medicine. This writing has not been medically reviewed.

Full guides, later

These pamphlets are the free samples. Longer guides in the same spirit may be written for the shop. The door is closed, and nothing is for sale. You do not need an account to read what is already here.

The shop, still closed

Also in the house

  • Begin — if you are new here, four short paths in ordinary English.
  • Library — the shorter pages already written, grouped by room.
  • Getting your life back — agency in ordinary days. Not control of anyone else.
  • Meditation — a practice of attention. Not a cure.
  • Depression — education beside care. Not medically reviewed. Never stop prescribed medicine.
